London is the most diversify city in the world in terms of languages. Indeed, over 250 languages are spoken there. 80% of Londoners speak English as their first language, while others don't speak English at all, or very poorly.
You can hear in London itself, most of the European and even further countries languages. Indeed, in the majority of boroughs, more than 100 languages are spoken.

The 10 most spoken languages in terms of boroughs are:
English – Everywhere
Polish – Bromley, Lewisham, Wandsworth, Merton, Richmond, Barnet and Ealing
Turkish – Enfield, Haringey, Islington, and Hackney
Bengali – Camden, Tower Hamlets and Newham
French – Hammersmith & Fulham, City of London and Kensington & Chelsea
Punjabi – Bexley, Hounslow and Hillingdon
Tamil – Croydon, Sutton and Kingston
Gujarati – Harrow and Brent
Lithuanian – Havering and Barking
Urdu – Waltham Forest and Redbridge
These languages are also spoken in some boroughs of London:
Arabic – Westminster
Nepalese – Greenwich
Portuguese – Lambeth
Spanish – Southwark
